Oceanographic/hydrological and meteorological/climatological data
The Ocrim Manaus port facility has a database of information on the characteristics of the region where the port facility is located. It has a record of measurements of certain oceanographic (e.g. speed and direction of currents, tidal regime, waves), hydrological (e.g. flow) and meteorological/climatological (e.g. wind direction and speed, rainfall) parameters. The data are organized in a way that allows integrated analyses, applicable for various purposes, such as studies to promote the adequacy of the port facility to climatic and environmental conditions, the sizing and disposition of engineering works and cargo handling equipment, planning and adoption of safety measures (accident prevention), and contingency plans.
