In relation to the ownership and use of land and soil, OCRIM S/A PRODUTOS ALIMENTÍCIOS makes public this policy, which comprises the following guidelines:
LAND USE RIGHTS
OCRIM makes sure that it only uses its own properties, owned by it, in its activities, valuing in all its operations the good faith and respect for local communities and their respective legitimate property rights.
Ownership rights and regular use of land must be easily verified through documents, such as certificates issued by competent bodies, respective offices of register of deeds, purchase and sale deeds, lease agreements or court orders.
The commitment to legality is established in several documents of the organization, such as our SGI and Supplier policies that deal with ethics and compliance with the law and respect for the communities in which we operate.
LAND PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABILITY
The use of land and the development of economic activity by OCRIM respect applicable environmental protection legislation. Likewise, the use of land and the development of economic activity value, respect and encourage the development of local communities and encourage their suppliers to do so. OCRIM promotes, internally and externally, the responsible and sustainable use of natural resources, including soil.
DIALOGUE AND SOCIO-ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT
OCRIM maintains open channels of communication with local communities in order to investigate and resolve any complaints regarding land use as well as to promote socio-environmental development. The Whistleblower Channel is available in Portuguese, and can be accessed 24 hours a day, including anonymously, by the following means:
Telephone: 0800 700 7067
Finally, OCRIM refrains from using, in the development of its economic activities, deforested lands, irregular lands, result of disturbance lands, land-grabbing or other forms of disenfranchised occupation not permitted by legislation.
PUBLICITY AND TRANSPARENCY
OCRIM will disseminate this internal policy among its employees, partners, suppliers and will make it available, together with its other policies and codes of conduct, to society in general, through its official website: www.ocrim.com.br, publicizing its guidelines and making its relationships more transparent. 00 – 03/21/22
