Final chapter
To end our series on wheat, we are going to tell you a little about the history of the Ocrim Group, which is about to complete a century in the Wheat Milling sector. In 1951, the Ocrim Group built its first wheat mill in Brazil, installed in the city of Nova Odessa, in São Paulo. From there, the production of flour for bread making, pasta, biscuits and pre-mixes for domestic use began. In 1952, the second mill in Jaguaré was built to serve the capital of São Paulo, neighboring municipalities, the ABC zone and peripheral regions. Three years later, the city of Belém do Pará received the first mill in the Northern region, giving access to new markets. Nine years later, even before the Free Zone began the great economic movement, Manaus received the fourth mill, one more in the Amazon region, until today the only wheat mill in the entire state. With this structure, besides the biscuit, pasta and animal feed plants and a distribution branch in Santarém, Pará, the Ocrim Group has always been investing in technology, training, quality and constant investment, the Group is one of the main wheat milling companies in Brazil.
